Objectives of the Department/Program: The Department of Accounting and Finance examines research topics such as local and international accounting standards, auditing standards, financial markets and institutions, international finance, capital markets, corporate finance, behavioral finance, financial structures of businesses, functioning of financial markets, asset pricing, investment and portfolio management.
Current Status and Future of the Department/Program: Courses specific to the department are offered such as General Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing Accounting. Our students are encouraged to conduct research in relevant courses and are prepared for the business world with an interactive education-training method.
Professions Under the Field: Our graduates can work in leading public institutions in the field of finance such as the CMB and the Central Bank, or in public and private banks, in consultancy firms providing services in these fields, or they can establish and run their own accounting firms.
Job Opportunities: They can work in accounting firms, internal accounting departments of companies, financial institutions, the public sector and consultancy firms.
